Be careful not to confuse them with life jackets, as life jackets will help keep the head above water even when the person is unconscious, something not all buoyancy aids will do. This makes buoyancy aids a little less bulky, and easier to wear while kayaking, dinghy sailing, or on a SUP. Read less
